Groundnut oil strengthens on firm demand

Groundnut oil prices strengthened further at the Vashi oils and oilseeds wholesale market here today on firm demand from stockists and retailers.
Refined palmolein recovered on renewed demand from retailers.
In the non-edible, castorseeds bold and castor oil commercial also gained following sustained demand from shippers and soap industries.
Linseed oil maintained a stable trend in the absence of any worthwhile buying activity.
In the edible section, groundnut oil surged by Rs 15 per 10 kg to Rs 845 from Tuesday's closing level of Rs 830 and refined palmolein moved up by Rs 2 per 10 kg to Rs 500 from Rs 498.

Moving to non-edible segment, castorseeds bold climbed by Rs 35 per 100 kg to Rs 4,200 from Rs 4,165 and castor oil commercial advanced by Rs 7 per 10 kg to Rs 870 as against Rs 863 yesterday.
Linseed oil closed unchanged at Rs 760 per 10 kg.
