Groundnut oil prices strengthened by Rs 50 per quintal on increased demand from retailers amid tight supplies from producing belts on the wholesale oils and oilseeds market today.
However, other edible and non-edible oils moved in a narrow range in scattered deals and settled around previous levels.
Traders said persistent increased demand from retailers against tight supplies on restricted arrivals from producing belts mainly kept groundnut oil prices remain up.
In the national capital, groundnut mill delivery (Gujarat) oil advanced by Rs 50 to Rs 7,300 per quintal.
