GRP arrests 2 ITBP jawans in inebriated condition

The Government Railway police (GRP) today arrested two Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) jawans in an inebriated condition from Bihar's Katihar district.

Katihar GRP SHO Dhananjay Kumar said that GRP arrested the two jawans from Rajdhani Express at Katihar junction.

The jawans were returning home to Chandigarh and Lucknow on vacation, SHO said adding they boarded the 12423 Dibrugarh-New Delhi Rajdhani Express at New Jalpaiguri junction in West Bengal.

On suspicion, GRP's escort party questioned them but they misbehaved and were found them drunk, he said adding that medical test will be conducted on both.

An FIR has been lodged in this connection, the SHO said.
