GSK Consumer Q3 net falls 8.25% to Rs 136.41 crore
Press Trust of India New Delhi GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) Consumer Healthcare Ltd today reported a 8.25 per cent decline in its standalone net profit at Rs 136.41 crore for the third quarter ended on December 31, 2016, on the account of lower sales.
The company had reported a net profit of Rs 148.68 crore for the October-December period a year ago.
Total income from operations of the company during the period under review were down 12.41 per cent to Rs 960.17 crore as against Rs 1,096.28 crore in the corresponding period last fiscal, GSK said in a BSE filing.
In a separate filing, said tenure of Subodh Bhargava as a non-executive chairman has been extended for a period of one year with effect from March 31, 2017.
Shares of GSK Consumer Healthcare today settled 0.14 per cent lower at Rs 5,118 apiece on BSE.
