The GSM subscriber base at the end of August stood at 726.10 million, Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI) said.
Idea Cellular added the maximum number of subscribers during the reported period with 2.63 million additions to take its overall base to 166.56 million.
Bharti Airtel added 2.22 million subscribers and its user base increased to 235.21 million whereas Vodafone added 1.59 million customers to take its overall base to 188.17 million.
Aircel added 2,47,092 customers and Telenor added 2,31,527 users to their network and their respective user bases stood at 83.99 million and 47.78 million.
