Guard found dead in DDA engineer's office

A security guard was found murdered on the office premises of a DDA superintending engineer in Vasant Vihar area of South Delhi, police said today.
The body of Nandram, 57, was found around 9 am today by the office staffers. His head was crushed by some heavy object and blood was allover the spot, police said.
Liquor bottles and disposable glasses were also recovered from the spot and it was suspected that Nandram consumed alcohol with some persons before he was killed, said a police officer.
Nandram lived with his family in Khanpur area and was scheduled to retire in a couple of years.

He was on duty yesterday from 8 am to 8 pm. He made a phone call to his family members informing them that he would stay back for the night, the officer said.
Vasan Vihar police have registered a case of murder while the family members of the victim have denied any knowledge of his enmity with any known person.
