Guargum futures fall on weak global cues

Guargum futures traded lower by Rs 130 to Rs 8,770 per quintal today as participants reduced their positions amid subdued demand at domestic spot markets.
Besides, weak overseas cues weighed on guargum prices.
Marketmen said easing domestic and export demand amid increased arrival of guarseed from growing regions and favourable rains this season, mainly attributed fall in guargum prices at futures trade here.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guargum prices for delivery in October dropped by Rs 130, or 1.46 per cent to Rs 8,770 per quintal and open interest stood of 19,469 lots.
On similar lines, guargum for November month delivery was down by Rs 130, or 1.44 per cent to Rs 8,910 per quintal, with an open interest of 1,992 lots.
