Guargum futures succumb to profit-booking, falls Rs 56

Amid profit-booking by participants at prevailing levels, guargum prices declined by Rs 56 to Rs 6,180 per quintal in futures trading today.
Marketmen said emergence of selling by participants to book profits at existing levels amid a weak trend at the spot markets, mainly attributed the fall in guargum prices at futures trade.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guargum for delivery in December fell by Rs 56, or 0.90 per cent, to Rs 6,180 per quintal, with an open interest of 1,340 lots.
Guargum for most-active January fell by Rs 38, or 0.61 per cent, to Rs 6,210 per quintal, with a business turnover of 40,360 open lots.
