Gujarat Ambuja Exports Q3 net up 40% at Rs 31.26 cr

Agro-processing firm Gujarat Ambuja Exports today reported 40 per cent increase in net profit at Rs 31.26 crore for the quarter ended December 31, on account of lower tax expenses.
The company had clocked a net profit of Rs 22.30 crore in the year-ago period.
However, total income from operations plunged to Rs 780.69 crore in the October-December quarter from Rs 798.60 crore in the year-ago period, the company said in a BSE filing.
Tax expenses also came down to Rs 3.27 crore from Rs 8.80 crore.
The company deals in various segments including cotton yarn, solvent extraction, maize processing, flour mill and cattle feed among others.
