Gur ends flat in tight movements

The wholesale jaggery market ended on a flat note today as prices after moving in a limited range in the absence of worthwhile activity, settled around previous closing.
Marketmen said restricted buying activity from stockists and retailers against adequate supplies from producing areas mainly kept gur prices around previous levels.
Following are today's rates (in Rs per quintal):
Gur chakku Rs 2,500-2,600, pedi Rs 2,500-2,600, dhayya Rs 2,700-2,800 and shakkar Rs 2,800-2,900.
Muzaffarnagar: Rasket Rs 2,400-2,500, chakku Rs 2,200-2,450, khurpa Rs 2,200-2,300 and Ladoo Rs 2,300-2,500.
Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 2,200-2,300 and dhayya Rs 2,250-2,300.
