Gur pedi edges up on scattered demand

Gur pedi prices rose by Rs 100 per quintal in an otherwise steady wholesale gur (jaggery) market today on selective buying activity.

However, gur prices in Muzzafarnagar and Muradnagar mandies remained flat in thin trade.

Marketmen attributed the rise in gur pedi prices to selective buying support from local parties.

In Delhi, gur pedi went up by Rs 100 to Rs 3,200-3,300 per quintal.
