Gur pedi prices decline in Delhi, Muradnagar

Sugar prices dropped by Rs 100 per quintal at the wholesale market in the national capital today following limited offtake amid heavy stocks.
Muradnagar gur markets also showed a weak trend as prices fell by Rs 50 per quintal in gur Pedi prices on sluggish demand.
Elsewhere, other gur varieties were flat on adequate stocks against demand.
Marketmen said heavy stocks following regular supplies from manufacturing belts amid thin demand mainly led to fall in gur pedi at Delhi and Muradnagar.
In Delhi, gur Pedi prices declined by Rs 100 to end the day at Rs 2,600-2,700 per quintal.
At Muradnagar, gur Pedi prices eased by Rs 50 to conclude at Rs 2,250-2,350 per quintal.
Following are today's rates (in Rs per quintal):
Gur chakku Rs 2,700-2,800, pedi Rs 2,600-2,700, dhayya Rs 2,900-3,000 and shakkar Rs 3,000-3,100.
Muzaffarnagar: Rasket Rs 2,100-2,150, chakku Rs 2,400- 2,600, khurpa Rs 2,250-2,300 and Ladoo Rs 2,400- 2,500.
Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 2,250-2,350 and dhayya Rs 2,400- 2,450.
