Gur prices end steady on scattered demand

The wholesale gur (Jaggery) market closed quiet in the national capital today following sporadic demand amid restricted supplies.
Muzaffarnagar and Muradnagar gur markets also closed on a steady note in thin trading.
Marketmen said scattered buying activity coupled with restricted arrivals, mainly kept gur prices at last levels.
Following are today's rates (in Rs per quintal):
Gur chakku Rs 2,800-2,900, pedi Rs 2,800-2,900, dhayya Rs 3,000-3,100 and shakkar Rs 3,000-3,100.
Muzaffarnagar: Rasket Rs 2,400-2,450, chakku Rs 2,450-2,575, khurpa Rs 2,400-2,450 and Ladoo Rs 2,450-2,550.
Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 2,500-2,550 and dhayya Rs Not Traded.
