The initiative was taken in a meeting headed by Gurgaon Police Commissioner Sandeep Khairwar with all DCP and ACP-rank officials following a directive of Haryana Police Director General of Police (DGP), B S Sandhu in this regard, Gurgaon Police PRO Ravinder Kumar said.
"During the meetings officers have been selected for night patrol duties in eastern, western and southern parts of Gurgaon. SHOs of respective areas will also be directed to coordinate with senior officials in this job throughout the week," Kumar said.
Local beat officers will make residents and local RWA's representatives aware about the contact numbers and details of night duty officers in their respective areas so that they can easily approach them in case of distress, the officer said.
