There were stories that Varun was not happy with the way his role turned out to be in the Shah Rukh-Kajol starrer but the actor took to Twitter to slam such reports.
"I had such a good time doing #Dilwale with Rohit sir and sincerely hope I get a chance to work with him again.
"Requesting some people in the media to check their fact before they run made up stories," Varun, 28, wrote.
The actor also clarified that he is not doing Shetty's next directorial venture "Ram Lakhan".
Varun will next be seen in his brother Rohit Dhawan's directorial venture "Dishoom" also starring Jacqueline Fernandez and John Abraham.
