Organized to create awareness about women and road safety, the marathon will start from the police lines and cover a distance of 28 KM before concluding at the same venue, Additional Director General of Police Ashok Kumar said.
Over 20,000 people have registered online for the marathon which will see 4500 school children and eleven foreign athletes including seven from Kenya, three from Ethiopia and one from USA participating in the event, he said.
A large number of bureaucrats including senior IAS and IPS officers will also participate in the event to be flagged by Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat.
