Hardcore Maoist held with pistol

A hardcore Maoist was arrested today with a weapon from Kadhautia Bazar under Shikarganj police station area in Bihar's East Champaran district, police sources said.
Acting on a tip off, the police raided a hideout and nabbed the Maoist, identified as Naresh Paswan, with a pistol, an ammunition and a mobile phone, the sources said.
A self-styled commander of the proscribed CPI(Maoist), Paswan was wanted in several cases of naxal violence in the district, they said.
The ultra was booked under relevant provisions of the IPC and sent to jail, the sources added.
