Rebel BJP leader Chaudhary Lal Singh took out a motorcycle rally in Jammu and Kashmir to mark the 124th birth anniversary of Maharaja Hari Singh on Sunday.
Lal Singh, who recently launched his own outfit called 'Dogra Swabhiman Sangathan' took out the rally from Lakhanpur town in Kathua district to the Hari Niwas Palace here.
He garlanded the statue of the Dogra ruler at Tawi bridge, distributed a 100-kg laddoo among the participants and called for a state holiday on his birth anniversary.
Dalip Singh Rana -- popularly known as The Great Khali who appeared in WWE -- joined an event organised by the Yuva Rajpath Sabha here. Rana said he joined the event on the invitation of his police friend.
Earlier, National Conference provincial president Devender Singh Rana flagged off a rally of the Sabha at Roop Nagar. Activists of the National Panthers Party (NPP), led by its chairman and former minister Harsh Dev Singh, held a meeting at the party headquarters at Gandhi Nagar. Some other organisations also held events to mark the occasion.
