Actor-singer Harry Connick Jr is set to star in his own daytime variety chat show.
The 48-year-old "Independence Day" star is currently a judge on "American Idol", but he will appear in his own series after the reality show's final season wraps up next spring, reported CBS News.
Harry is set to premiere in September, 2016 and feature interviews, musical performances, and parodies, according to a statement from bosses at TV company NBCUniversal.
"I'm a lucky guy. I get to be a husband to a wonderful wife, a father to three incredible daughters, and an entertainer to the most amazing fans," Harry said.
"And now, I'm honoured to be able to put smiles on people's faces on a daily basis... Harry will be an hour filled with fun, music and laughter.
