Hary govt mulling incentives for cashless transactions

The Haryana government is mulling to offer incentives like rebate in property tax for promoting cashless transactions in the state.
Rebate in property tax will be given to those opting for online payment. It is also being considered to give incentives to those paying fees through cashless mode in Regional Transport Authority (RTA) offices, Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar said today.
Khattar, who was presiding over a meeting to review the progress of development works here, said responsibility will be fixed for getting registration of birth, death and marriage done, an official release said.
He also emphasised on making Ghaggar river pollution- free, adding that the matter was also being raised with other states such as Himachal Pradesh and Punjab.
Congratulating the people of Fatehabad for achieving the status of stray cattle-free district, the chief minister directed the officers to carry out tagging of cattle in gaushalas and nandishalas along with those in houses, to put a check on cattle straying onto roads.
He said people who leave the cattle on roads could be identified with the help of tagging and fine would be imposed on them.
The BJP leader also directed to observe World Environment Day on June 5 by administering a pledge to people to maintain cleanliness in villages with a population of 10,000 and above.
The chief minister also directed to update the Aadhaar card link of beneficiaries receiving pension from the Social Justice and Empowerment Department and said that a survey would be conducted of those whose Aadhaar cards were not linked.
