Haryana CM congratulates Ankur

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar today congratulated shooter Ankur Mittal of Sonipat for winning a gold medal in men's double trap event in the International Shooting Sports Federation World Cup in Mexico.
In a statement here, the Chief Minister said that the performance of Ankur would inspire many others to take interest in this game of skill.
Ankur, 24, clinched his first World Cup gold medal by defeating Australia's James Willet in the final of the men's double trap event.
Khattar said that with his outstanding performance at the World Cup, Ankur has brought laurels to the state and the country.
Earlier, Ankur had won a silver medal in men's double trap event at the ISSF World Cup in New Delhi.
Congratulating Ankur, Sports and Youth Affairs Minister Anil Vij said that his patience and dedication towards his chosen sport would motivate other budding shooters.
He said that Ankur was honoured with Bhim Award last month for his outstanding performance in 2016-17. He said that the state government has been focusing on providing congenial atmosphere to the sportspersons.
Urban Local Bodies Minister Kavita Jain also congratulated Ankur for his achievement and said that he was a role model for the youth.
