Moreover, the figure of this procurement has also exceeded the procurement of 63,74,143 metric tonnes of wheat procured up to the same day last year, Haryana's Food and Supplies Minister, Ram Bilas Sharma said here today.
He said that the target of 65 lakh metric tonnes of wheat procurement was fixed for the current Rabi season.
Sharma said that wheat procurement is 2,79,751 metric tonnes higher as compared to the procurement made up to same day last year.
Giving details of the procurement, he said that over 19.76 lakh metric tonnes of wheat had been procured by the Food and Supplies Department, over 29.04 lakh metric tonnes by Hafed, over 6.84 lakh metric tonnes by Haryana Agro, more than 10.82 lakh metric tonnes by Haryana Warehousing Corporation and 5,800 metric tonnes of wheat was purchased by Confed.
