Haryana govt begins listing of Emergency victims

Within two months of Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar announcing sops for them, Haryana government has decided listing out the names of the people affected during the period of Emergency.
Faridabad Deputy Commissioner Amit Kumar Agrawal today released a communication here in this regard along with a pro forma, to be filled by aggrieved persons.
The pro forma can be filled and submitted to the office of the deputy commissioner in Mini Secretariat in Sector-12 in Faridabad, Agarwal said.
He further added that if any person is having any video or audio message of the period of emergency which can be used to identify the aggrieved people can also be submitted to his office.
In addition to the above, the deputy commissioner said newspapers, newspaper clippings or any such relevant print matter can also be submitted.
Speaking about the relevant sections of the pro forma he said this would consist First Information Report (FIR), name of concerned police station, relevant section of the relevant act in which case registered, if lodged in jail starting and ending date of jail term and the name of the jail in which the aggrieved was lodged needs to be filled in the pro forma.
Chief Minister Khattar had on June 26 announced setting up of a committee to identify the victims of Emergency and announced a number of incentives for them, including honouring them on Republic Day.
