The Haryana government today directed all child care institutions (CCIs) in the state to set up management and children committees.
Women and Child Development Department Director General Sumita Misra said the CCIs have also been directed to maintain the record of the monthly meetings of these committees as well as implement their recommendations timely.
She said all District Child Protection Officers (DCPOs) have been directed to ensure that all CCIs have such panels.
The WCD department is ensuring that all the CCIs meet minimum standards laid under Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act 2000 as well as Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Rules, 2007, Misra said in a release here.
