Haryana govt to grant stamp duty refund to various industries

Haryana government today said it has notified a scheme for grant of stamp duty refund to various sectors of industries.
In an official release, state Industries Minister Capt. Abhimanyu said in case of mega projects, the refund of stamp duty would be 100 per cent in 'D' category blocks, 75 per cent in 'C' category blocks and 50 per cent in 'B' category blocks.
This will be applicable on the land area meant for industrial use for establishment of mega projects on the land including industrial estates or parks developed by HSIIDC or private developer after commencement of commercial production, within five years from the date of filing of Industrial Entrepreneur Memoranda (IEM), the minister said.
He said in case of large units, this refund would be 100 per cent in 'D' category and 75 per cent in 'C' category blocks.
He said that in case of micro, small and medium enterprises too this refund would be 100 per cent on purchase or leasing of land for establishment of enterprises including industrial Estates or parks developed by HSIIDC or private developer in 'D' category blocks and 75 per cent in 'C' category blocks and 50 per cent in 'B' category blocks.
While referring to textile sector, the refund would be 100 per cent on purchase or leasing of land for establishment of enterprises including industrial estates or parks developed by HSIIDC or private developer in 'C' and 'D', 80 per cent in 'B' category blocks after commencement of commercial production.
He said that similarly in case of Agro Industries and Food Processing Sector and Footwear Sector with value addition products excluding leather processing, the refund would be 100 per cent on purchase or leasing of land for establishment of enterprises including Industrial Estates or Industrial parks developed by HSIIDC or private developer in 'C' and 'D', 80 per cent in 'B' category blocks.
In case of Defence or Aero Space or Electronics or Auto Components, this refund would be 100 per cent on purchase or leasing of land for establishment of enterprises including Industrial Estates or parks developed by HSIIDC or private developers in 'B', 'C' and 'D' blocks after commencement of commercial production.
The scheme shall commence with effect from August 15, 2015 for providing Stamp Duty refund on purchase/leasing of land for establishment of enterprises/Industrial Estates/ industrial parks in identified category of blocks and shall remain in operation for a period of 5 years or till the time government decides otherwise.
The units or developers which/who have purchased/taken the land after August 14, 2015 and before August 14, 2020 shall be admissible for the refund of stamp duty.
