Stating this here today, Principal Secretary, Sports and Youth Affairs Department, Amit Jha said sportspersons who have been conferred with Arjuna and Dhayanchand Award by Union Government in 2013 would also be honoured on this occasion.
Those who would be conferred with Bhim Awards included Kavita Chahal of Bhiwani (Boxing), Rajender of Kurukshetra (Wrestling), Seema Antil of Sonipat (Athletics), Sube Singh of Panchkula (Volleyball), Harpreet Singh of Karnal (Shooting), Prashant Karmakar of Bhiwani (Swimming), Geeta of Bhiwani (Wrestling), Dilbagh Singh of Bhiwani (Boxing), Anisha Sayyad of Faridabad (Shooting), Manjeet Nandal of Rohtak (Judo), and Bhartender Singh of Kurukshetra (Athletics).
A cash award of Rs five lakh each, a shield and a citation would be given to recipient of Bhim Award.
Arjuna awardee and Dhayanchand Awardee would also be given cash award of Rs five lakh each.
