On the call of Haryana Roadways Joint Action Committee, the Union is going to hold the blockade to press for their demands, State President of the Union, Harinarayan Sharma said today.
If even after the Chakka Jam their demands are not met, then the roadways employees would not hesitate to go on an indefinite strike statewide, Sharma said.
On March 28, the Chief Minister had assured the employees that the present transport policy would be scrapped and a new one would be launched within a month, he said.
Their demands include regularisation of all the drivers and the conductors appointed after 2013, payment of bonus and regular recruitment of workshop employees, he said.
