The delegation comprising Pradip Mathur of Congress, T Ram of BSP, Dalbir Singh of RLD and BJP's Jai Pratap Singh held a meeting with the Ambassador, which lasted for 45 minutes.
"The issue of scope of the US investment in UP and cultural exchanges with the state were some of the issues discussed in the meet," Pradip Mathur told PTI.
"We also drew the attention on the continuing support to Pakistan which has been creating troubles in India and Verma said that his country was also concerned over the attitude of Pakistan towards India as far as militancy is concerned as the neighbours need to have cordial relations," he said.
The US ambassador said that he has met Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav and found him dynamic and that there was a lot of scope for investment in the state, Mathur added.
