When the petition came up for hearing, Justice A Hariprasad issued a notice to the police for its counter and adjourned the hearing to December 23.
Police have registered a case against Natesan under section 153(A) (promoting enmity between different groups on grounds of religion, race, place of birth and language) of IPC over his recent speech at Aluva near here during his yatra aimed at uniting Hindu caste outfits.
He had alleged that Congress-led UDF government was giving financial assistance to families of mishap victims on the basis of caste and religion.
