The division bench of Chief Justice P C Tatia and Justice Jaya Roy directed that the Additional Director General of Police (Vigilance) and Superintendent of Police be present in the court on the next hearing on January 28.
The direction came on a PIL which drew the court's attention on delay in the investigation into the case filed soon after the 2010 Rajya Sabha elections alleging that some legislators had taken money to cast vote.
A CD purportedly recording the voices of certain persons had been seized during raids by the investigating departments and had been sent to the Forensic Science Laboratory, Gujarat, to determine its genuineness.
The bench, which took the matter seriously as forensic report was yet to be submitted, expressed dissatisfaction with the status report submitted by the vigilance bureau today.
