HC asks govt to clear proposal on cops' deputation at juvenile

The Delhi High Court today asked the Finance Department to expeditiously approve the proposal of the city government and Delhi Police relating to deputing policemen for maintaining safety and security at observation homes for juveniles here.
Department of Women and Child Development (DWCD) of Delhi government and the city police had given a joint proposal for maintaining law and order at juvenile homes and as per it, policemen would be sent on deputation to serve at the juvenile homes.
The issue with regard to the allowances to be paid by DWCD to policemen, to be deputed at juvenile homes, is still unresolved and pending with the Finance Department.

"The issue be resolved expeditiously," the bench comprising justices S Ravindra Bhat and Vipin Sanghi said.
It said DWCD and the concerned officials empowered to take decisions in the Finance Department are hereby directed to ensure that the previous directions are complied with before November 10.
