The university cancelled the affiliation of the college some years back citing various reasons, including that the college has encroached government land and an irrigation channel, the library in the institution was functioning without sufficient books and the cafeteria was close to class rooms.
Justice K Ravichandra Babu of the Madurai bench issued the order after the management of the college, run by the family of former union minister M K Alagiri, informed that all the anomalies cited for cancellation of affiliation had been rectified.
