HC comes to the aid of Uber, Ola drivers
Press Trust of India Kochi The Kerala High Court today directed the state police chief to take stringent action against those who obstruct taxi services such as Uber and Ola. Justice V Chitambaresh said online taxi drivers were free to pick passengers from bus stands, railway stations and airports.
He gave the direction on a petition by the Airport Uber Taxi Union which complained of 'frequent obstructions' against them by members of traditional taxi drivers' associations.
