A division bench, comprising Chief Justice Sanjay Kishan Kaul and Justice R.Mahadevan, was passing further interim orders on a petition from 'Koyambedu Kaai Kani Malar Viyabarigal Nalasangam' when it came up for hearing on Friday.
The petition sought a direction to the authorities not to allot any portion/shops by converting the loading and unloading (ramp) area near gate no.5 in Koyambedu Wholesale Market complex to any individuals.
Earlier, the bench had granted one month time to the authorities to set the Koyambedu market in order and file an affidavit to show how it was working.
It posted the case for further hearing to January 6.
