HCL Info scrip plunges nearly 11% as loss widens

Share price of HCL Infosystems fell sharply, over 11 per cent, in an otherwise firm market today following the company's reporting a net loss of Rs 50.82 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2014.
HCL Infosystems' scrip settled 10.49 per cent lower at Rs 44.35 on the BSE. In intra-day trading, it had slipped 11.5 per cent to Rs 43.85.
On the NSE, it dropped 10.69 per cent to close at Rs 44.30.
The company's market capitalisation fell by Rs 115.48 crore to Rs 988.52 crore.
HCL had incurred a loss of Rs 44 crore in the year-ago quarter.
Net sales of the company during the quarter under review declined by 25 per cent to Rs 1,450 crore against Rs 1,937 crore in the corresponding quarter of previous fiscal.
In the broader market, the BSE benchmark Sensex ended the day at 29,278.84, up 272.82 points.
