Elaborate arrangements have been made by the government to deal with any emergencies arising out of prevailing heatwave conditions during International Yoga Day on Sunday, where more than 35,000 people are expected to perform various 'asanas' (postures).
The Union Health Ministry has set up dedicated health posts with adequate number of doctors and para-medical staff across Rajpath on International Yoga Day (IYD), apart from deploying a number of ambulance at the venue, officials said.

He said that the entire venue has been divided into various sectors and each sector will have a dedicated health posts to take care of any emergencies. Around 40 ambulances will be stationed across the venue.
The Health Ministry will deploy doctors and para-medical staff from various hospitals.

The government has made elaborate preparations for the IYD on Sunday where more than 35,000 participants including officials, diplomats, students, NCC cadets and personnel from both army and armed forces will perform various 'asanas' from 7 am to 7.35 am.
