Heatwave continues in UP, Banda hottest at 45.2 deg C

Major parts of Uttar Pradesh continued to experience scorching heat with weather remaining dry today.
MeT office said day temperatures were markedly above normal in Faizabad division, appreciably above normal in Gorakhpur, Varanasi, Allahabad, Lucknow, Bareilly, Jhansi divisions, above normal in Kanpur division and were normal in the remaining divisions over the state.
Banda was the hottest place in the state with a maximum temperature of 45.2 degrees Celsius.
According to the forecast, the weather was most likely to remain dry over the state and heat wave was likely at isolated places over east UP.
