The rains triggered landslides, blocking roads and disrupting traffic in the interior areas, and also damaged water supply pipelines at some places.
Link roads were blocked in the interior areas of Chamba, Sirmaur, Kangra and Bilaspur districts due to landslides.
The PWD has deployed men and machinery for clearing the roads and all the major national and state highways were open, said a senior officer of the department.
Around two dozen persons have lost their lives in the state during the current monsoon season so far and damages to property and crops is estimated to be over Rs 310 crore.
However, the monsoon deficit from June 1 to August 10 was 19 per cent and the average rainfall was 421.9 mm as against the normal mark of 521.9 mm.
The monsoon deficit was 82 per cent in Lahaul and Spiti, 56 per cent in Kinnaur, 46 per cent in Chamba, 20 per cent in Sirmaur and 10 per cent in Una.
The rainfall was normal in the other districts.
The maximum temperature dropped from 34.6 to 31.6 degrees Celsius at Una, while Bhuntar recorded ahigh of 30.6 degrees Celsius, followed by Sundernagar (28.7), Dharamshala (28.2), Manali (27), Nahan (25.2), Solan (23), Kalpa (21.6), Shimla (20 degrees Celsius).
The minimum temperatures hovered around normal with Manali recording a low of 13 degrees Celsius, followed by Kalpa (13.8), Keylong (14.5), Dharamshala (16.2), Shimla (17.4), Nahan (19.5), Palampur (20), Bhuntar (20.2), Solan (20.5), Sundernagar (21.8) and Una (25 degrees Celsius).
