Heavy rains in Tuticorin district

More than 200 houses in Kayalpattinam in Tuticorin district were inundated following heavy rains, officials said today
After a gap of five days the rains which started at mid night yesterday lashed in Tiruchendur, Kayalapattinam and Sri Vaikuntam areas.
The rains were so heavy that the people had to remain indoors and the normalcy was affected in the three areas.
