The National Fertilisers Ltd's (NFL) CMD post fell vacant after the retirement of Neeru Abrol in February.
"...Heera Lal Samariya, Joint Secretary, Department of Fertilisers (DoF) has been entrusted with the additional charge of the post of Chairman & Managing Director of NFL with effect from March 1, 2015 till further orders," NFL said in a filing to the BSE.
Samariya is 1985 batch IAS officer of Andhra Pradesh cadre.
In September last year, government's head hunting body Public Enterprises Selection Board had recommended STC's Director (Finance) Manoj Mishra for the top post in National Fertilisers Ltd.
