The helicopter took off from Guilin at around 11 AM and was goingto Beihai.
It lost contact about one hour later in Guilin's Yongfu County, the county government said.
Rescuers are searching for the helicopter and its pilots in Yongfu, state-run Xinhua news agency reported.
