The 44-year-old actor, who melted hearts as Elliot in "ET", will appear in an undisclosed role in the supernatural sequel, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The former child star will be joined by youngster Lulu Wilson, as well as Annalise Basso and Elizabeth Reaser.
"Ouija", which revolves around the supernatural board game that allows players to contact the dead, was a surprise hit back in 2014, bringing in USD 102.5 million from a USD 5 million budget.
Mike Flanagan will direct and write the screenplay for the upcoming sequel, alongside Jeff Howard.
