Hero Cycles signs up as lead sponsor of Bengal Tigers in CCL

Hero Cycles has extended its association with Celebrity Cricket League (CCL) for its fifth season by signing up as the lead sponsor of Bengal Tigers team, which represents the colourful Bengali film fraternity in this annual cricketing festival.
The cycle manufacturer giant tied up with the Bengal Tigers team, which is owned by Hindi cinema stalwarts Boney Kapoor and Sridevi Kapoor with Raj Shah as co-owner.
The team is adorned with top stars of Bengali cinema. Superstar Jisshu has been retained as the captain of the team while one of the most revered actors of Bengali cinema - Prosenjit, will continue as mentor of the team. Dev, the iconic star of Tollywood will also be playing for the team.
Speaking about Hero Cycles' association with the team and Celebrity Cricket League, Pankaj Munjal, Co-Chairman and Managing Director, Hero Cycles said, "Cricket is considered to be the religion of our country, even the celebrities and film stars in the country passionately follow the sport and have not been spared by the fervour."
Echoing similar sentiments of joy, filmmaker and owner of the Bengal Tigers Team Boney Kapoor said, "We are thankful to Hero Cycles for believing in the potential of this team. Our efforts are to bring forth the sports talent of our Bengali actors and this was the sole purpose of founding the team back in 2011 when we started."
Bengal Tigers has a string of prominent Bengali actors, namely - Jisshu (Captain), Dev, Rahul, Amitabh, Joy, Suman, Gaurav, Veivek, Riju, Debraj, Raja, Saugata, Prasun, Indrashish, Arijit, Mohan, Sandy, Joydeep, Partha and Soham. Payel Sarkar and Satyaki Banerjee will support the team as its brand ambassadors.
