Hero Cycles sponsoring team in Indonesian cycling tournament

Leading bicycle manufacturer Hero Cycles today said it is sponsoring Globeracers, the first Indian team to participate in the cycling tournament Indonesia Downhill Championship 2013.
"This sponsorship is an extension of the many endeavours that Hero Cycles have been initiating over the years to promote cycling in India through their premium sports bike brand called Urban Trail," Hero Cycles said in a statement.
The move will boost the confidence of the two Indian riders participating at Globeracers at the championship and will empower them to perform at their level best, it added.
Indonesia Downhill Championship 2013 is being held today and tomorrow in Indonesia.

"We are more than happy to sponsor Globeracers at the Indonesia Downhill Championship 2013. Their participation in an international event like this is trend-setting and encouraging for all the budding cyclists back home in India," UrbanTrail Cycles Ltd Sales Head Raman Awasthi said.
The company's sponsorship will empower Vinay Menon and Gautam Toade of Globeracers to perform at their level best and feel as competitive and geared up as any other team at the Downhill championship," he added.
