The Border Security Force (BSF) in a joint search operation with the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) seized nearly 2.4 kg heroin concealed inside a tractor's body at the border village of Kakkar in Amritsar Sector, an official said today.
The BSF official said that on July 10, during a search operation a tractor was thoroughly checked in an agriculture field near the Indo-Pak border and heroin was recovered.
The tractor was being used for tilling the land adjoining the border with Pakistan, he said.
BSF officials were procuring details about the tractor's owner and antecedents of its driver as well as the owner of the agricultural land from where the tractor was found, he added.
