Heroin seized, one person arrested

Mizoram Excise and Narcotics department officials seized 27 grams of heroin from a maxicab at Mizoram-Myanmar border Mualkawi hamlet in Champhai district, state Excise and Narcotics PRO Peter Zohmingthanga today said.
Zohmingthanga told PTI that a Myanmarese national Tuakmeng (30) of Lumbang in Myanmar was arrested in this connection last night.
He said that Tuakmeng claimed to have smuggled the contraband from Myanmar.
She was booked under relevant sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985.
