High humidity prevail across WB

High humidity prevailed in almost all parts of West Bengal today causing discomfort with the Met department forecasting thunderstorm and rain.
Asansol recorded the day's highest in the state at 38.8 degrees C, while neighbouring Bankura recorded 37.6 degrees C, the Met department said.
Sriniketan and Burdwan recorded 36.1 degrees Celsius and 35.0 degrees Celsius respectively.
The day temperature in Kolkata rose to 37.3 degrees C with high level of humidity causing discomfort.
The weatherman has forecast rain or thunderstorms in many parts of Gangetic West Bengal till tomorrow.
In sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Jalpaiguri and Coochbehar recorded rainfall of 21.6 mm and 28.2 mm respectively.

The hill town of Darjeeling recorded the day's highest temperature at 18.7 degrees Celsius, while the lowest was 11.8 degrees Celsius.
