Highly decomposed, unidentified male body found in gutter

The Thane district rural police found a highly decomposed body of an unidentified male in a gutter in Bhayander town last evening, the police said here today.
Assistant police inspector P M Pullarwar of the Bhayander police station told PTI today that the police station was informed that a highly decomposed body was lying in a gutter in the town.
A postmortem has been conducted on the body and the report is still awaited, the police said.
Meanwhile, the police officer said that there is no clue about the identity of the body, since the face cannot be unidentified.
The age of the victim who bore wounds on his body is also not known, the police said.

The Bhayander police has registered an offence under Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code and a hunt is on for the man's killers, the police said.
