Himachal: Medical team sent to gastro-affected areas

The government today rushed a team of doctors to Bilaspur after reports of gastroenteritis outbreak in some areas of the district.
The outbreak has been reported from Nauni and Raghunathpura areas of the district.
"The team, that consists of medicine, community medicine, surgery and microbiology experts, will also examine the cause of this outbreak, besides taking preventive measures to check further spread of the disease," an official spokesperson said.
He said that the situation is under control and people in the affected areas have been advised not to consume contaminated water, and take preventive measures suggested by the health department.
