The PSu beat stiff international competition from China, Italy, Korea and Taiwan to bag the order, HMT general manager Naveen Gokhru said.
The equipment, 4 CNC Coil Spring & Grinding Machines, will be built at Ajmer at half of the cost of imported machines, the official said, adding that HMT Ajmer has supplied various machines of different utility to Indian Railways.
Gokhru said that HMT Ajmer is the only machine tool industry India where various segments of grinding machines viz., conventional mechanical, hydraulic and CNC Grinding machines are manufactured.
